![]() “The castle prisons” is the true meaning of the name of this wine. We created Le Segrete in 2004, with the idea of making a second, more modest wine. When we first discussed this, sitting outside in the garden of our family estate, the idea was not welcomed. Potete darlo da bere agli ospiti delle Segrete, was the first comment, which means something like You can offer it to the guests of the castle prisons. It's been a while since we had guests in our Le Segrete, so the wine is now offered to winery visitors, who absolutely love it and usually take a case or two home with them.
